Daniel Farmer

Position: Teacher

Courses Taught: Advanced Placement Economics, World Geography

Email: dfarmer@dvhigh.net

Education:

  • High School - San Ramon Valley High School
  • College - University of Oregon
  • Credentials - Single Subject Teaching Credential, Social Studies

Background:

I grew up in Danville, CA and attended San Ramon High School. I later went north to the University of Oregon. After graduating in four years and meeting my now wife I started substituting around the district. After receiving my credential I started working at DVHS and have loved it ever since.

Teaching/Educational Philosophy:

It is human nature to try and understand the world we live in. That is why there have always been explorers. Teaching provides a means to help students discover what they want to explore. I try to allow students the opportunity to ask questions and challenge themselves (and myself) in order to grow as individuals and as a class.

Personal Notes:

It is always a pleasure to see students grow and mature as they make their way through DVHS and beyond. We have amazing students, staff and a great community.
