EXAM JAM starts Dec. 5th.

This is our 5th year of offering Exam Jam to students. This is a free service that is provided by teachers. Both students and teachers have reported that students who attended Exam Jam sessions performed better on their finals than students who did not attend.

Students are allowed to attend any session, even it's not being lead by their teacher. No sign ups are required- just show up!

Don't see a specific subject you need? Attend a General Tutoring session, or drop in the library for peer-to-peer tutoring.

The library will be open until 5pm Monday-Thursday, and Friday until 4pm. The library will not be open after school on 12/5, 12/6, 12/8, and 12/15.

Peer-to-peer tutoring, hosted by CSF, will also be available in the library after school on days the library is open. Advanced sign ups are not required. This is on a drop-in basis.

Please direct any questions to Ms. Pike: kpike@srvusd.net.

SISTER SCHOOL DRIVES for 2016

for our Oakland Elementary School

DVHS  & WRMS  are once again collaborating efforts to help out our Sister Schools that are situated right next to each other with the following two drives for this year.  Please note these schools are in an economically disadvantaged situation in many ways and after speaking with the school liaison, we have narrowed down to top needs of what they are looking for our help in.  There are about 700 students we look forward to brightening their eyes and providing for a healthy educational environment.

WARM COAT DRIVE:  11/17 - 11/21

Looking for donations of new or lightly used coats for girls and boys of these schools to keep them healthy this holiday season.  There will be a bin in the front office of the DVHS school that is labelled "Sister School Warm Coat Drive".

HOLIDAY TOY DRIVE:  11/4 - 12/5

Every year, this is the ONE drive that the kids look forward to.  With your continuous support, the school notified us that the scores and behavior has gone up and the toy incentive has been very effective! This is why we love what we do!  Thank you for your thoughts!

NOTE:

Other Separate and Ongoing donations appreciated are: School Supplies and books.

VOLUNTEER HELP:  Always can use your help in many ways.  Please contact Neha Shah at nehsys@yahoo.comwith subject title "Sister School Volunteer".  Help needed in collecting, distributing, spreading the word.

Sincere Appreciation from the Sister Schools,

Neha Shah
