EXAM JAM starts Dec. 5th.

This is our 5th year of offering Exam Jam to students. This is a free service that is provided by teachers. Both students and teachers have reported that students who attended Exam Jam sessions performed better on their finals than students who did not attend.

Students are allowed to attend any session, even it's not being lead by their teacher. No sign ups are required- just show up!

Don't see a specific subject you need? Attend a General Tutoring session, or drop in the library for peer-to-peer tutoring.

The library will be open until 5pm Monday-Thursday, and Friday until 4pm. The library will not be open after school on 12/5, 12/6, 12/8, and 12/15.

Peer-to-peer tutoring, hosted by CSF, will also be available in the library after school on days the library is open. Advanced sign ups are not required. This is on a drop-in basis.

Please direct any questions to Ms. Pike: kpike@srvusd.net.

SISTER SCHOOL DRIVES for 2016

for our Oakland Elementary School

DVHS  & WRMS  are once again collaborating efforts to help out our Sister Schools that are situated right next to each other with the following two drives for this year.  Please note these schools are in an economically disadvantaged situation in many ways and after speaking with the school liaison, we have narrowed down to top needs of what they are looking for our help in.  There are about 700 students we look forward to brightening their eyes and providing for a healthy educational environment.

WARM COAT DRIVE:  11/17 - 11/21

Looking for donations of new or lightly used coats for girls and boys of these schools to keep them healthy this holiday season.  There will be a bin in the front office of the DVHS school that is labelled "Sister School Warm Coat Drive".

HOLIDAY TOY DRIVE:  11/4 - 12/5

Every year, this is the ONE drive that the kids look forward to.  With your continuous support, the school notified us that the scores and behavior has gone up and the toy incentive has been very effective! This is why we love what we do!  Thank you for your thoughts!

NOTE:

Other Separate and Ongoing donations appreciated are: School Supplies and books.

VOLUNTEER HELP:  Always can use your help in many ways.  Please contact Neha Shah at nehsys@yahoo.comwith subject title "Sister School Volunteer".  Help needed in collecting, distributing, spreading the word.

Sincere Appreciation from the Sister Schools,

Neha Shah

Hi club officers!

If you plan on fundraising this year for your club or an organization your club supports, please read on:

You MUST fill out this form below before you will be given permission to hold fundraisers. This is a legal requirement that is 100% mandatory and required by both the school district and the state of California.

SRVUSD Fundraising Schedule Form located here: https://docs.google.com/a/srvusd.net/forms/d/12vE5HM8Sr_CrUArCwTLqntmbAF_8Fhf_LZuc3rlB6z0/edit

Submit No Later Than 10/26

Take time to make sure that you do the following:

- Plan your fundraisers for the ENTIRE year ASAP

-Have your club approve this fundraising plan and submit your club minutes that illustrate this approval to the Leadership room. Keep a record of your club minutes. Without club minutes approving your fundraising plan, your fundraiser will not be approved by the school district or by DVHS admin

We have worked hard to streamline this process for you. Use the form here to carefully and completely document all your fundraisers for the year. This form will then be submitted by Ms. Moilanen to the SRVUSD Business Office to be reviewed. Be sure you represent your club to the best of your ability by being complete, thorough, and accurate.

Failure to complete this form accurately and completely will result in a ban on your club's fundraising abilities for the year. Keeping an accurate projection of your club's financial gains is very important. Please see me if you have any questions.
