Athletics Clearance 2017-18 process

If you are trying out for the Fall 2017 sports season we will be starting a new online registration process.  For now only the Fall Cheer Leading tryouts are listed on the page, however as of June 5th, 2017 you will be able to go on and register your student athlete.  The process will become much easier as you will only have to enter most information once - annual physicals and any changes to insurance, households or other will have to be updated as needed.

 

This New Registration is also offered in over 100 languages  - just set your language preference at the top of the page.

Boys cross country wins Div. 1 NCS championship and girls take 2nd place!!


 
 

Both the Girls and Boys DVHS Cross Country teams qualified for the California State meet to be held in Fresno on November 26.  The girls placed 2nd in D1 at the North Coast Sectional Meet.  Aushmitha Grewal was the overall winner and NCS D1 Champion.  The boys placed 1st in D1 at the North Coast Sectional Meet with Neil Braganza as the overall winner and NCS D1 Champion and Quinn Schmidt placing 2nd overall.

The DVHS Cross-Country Team competed in their first EBAL Championship meet on November 4th.  The teams performed exceptionally well against some very strong competition.

 

Senior, Neil Braganza won the League Championship, placing 1st out of 71 varsity competitors.  The Varsity Boys Team, consisting of Neil Braganza, Quinn Schmidt, Tommy Bell, Miguel Dickenson, Jake Echsner, Jeremy Lee and Kenichi Burnham, placed 5th.

 

The Varsity Girls Team, consisting of Tarra O'Malley, Aushmitha Grewal, Kayla Jindrich, Briana Sanchez, Hannah Seastres, Polina Popova and Ananya Goyal, placed 7th.

 

Our JV Boys Team, consisting of Tristan Guerrero, Walden Dea, Lucas Badcock, Aaron Du, Peter Hay, Soumil Prasad and Matthew Nash placed 2nd, with Sophomore Tristan Guerrero placing 2nd out of 134 runners.

 

The JV Girls, consisting of Haley Raizes, Connie Yoon, Eve Zhong, Mika Sonnleitner, Spurthi Rallapalli, Kelly Wong and Bothayna Mohamed, placed 3rd.

 

The Frosh/Soph Boys, consisting of Akrum Abdelmagid, Connor Ueyama, Michael Han, Siddharth Somala, Jacob Gardner, Jason Chin and Walker Browning, placed 5th.

 

Finally, the Frosh/Soph Girls team, consisting of Puja Oak, Sofia Cuevas, Ankushi Dutta, Brittney Lum, Crystal Liu, Ada Zhong and Katherine Huynh, won their division with Freshman, Puja Oak placing 2nd out of 117 runners in the Frosh/Soph girls race.

 

The Varsity Boys and Girls teams will compete in the North Coast Sectional Meet at Hayward High School on Saturday, November 19.  Both teams are in excellent positions to win D1 and move on to the State Meet in Fresno on Saturday the 26th.
