Background:
I feel very fortunate to have grown up in the Bay Area. When it came time to apply to college, I wanted to experience a different part of the country, in addition to having a traditional college experience. I attended the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, where I earned a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature, with a minor in Psychology, in addition to my secondary teaching credential. After graduation, I returned to the Bay Area and taught high school English for nine years, and was a literacy coach for one year. This is my second year in the San Ramon Valley Unified School District; last year, I worked as a counselor at SRVHS. I am very excited to be part of the Wildcat family!
Teaching/Educational Philosophy:
School is so much more than a grade. It is where students come to learn information that will help them in their future professions, and to become happy, successful, productive members of society.
