November Parent Information Session: Navigating College Admission Testing

What's the difference between the ACT and SAT?

Which one is better for my child?

When should students take these tests?

Lia Lackey is the Managing Director at Compass Education Group. She began SAT and ACT tutoring in 1997 while she was at the University of California, Berkeley. She now leads a team of Compass Program Directors*, guiding families through the complex landscape of college admission testing. She will discuss college entrance exam testing (PSAT, ACT, SAT, Subject Tests, etc.), how colleges are using these tests, recent testing trends, frequently asked questions, and research about growth mindset. Parents and students from all high school grade levels are welcome to attend!

Wednesday, November 28
7:30-8:30 am
Dougherty Valley High Commons

*DVHS does not endorse any outside programs. Ms. Lackey will be speaking as a resource for information on testing only.
