Senior Class Information & Graduation Activities

please help celebrate our seniors! entire community is invited

Donate to ensure that the Class of 2021 will be supported and celebrated by our DVHS community despite the fact they have missed so many of their traditions and experiences -- including Junior Prom, Homecoming, Spring Dances, Senior Ball, Senior Trips, and more!

Your donations will help cover the cost of recognizing and celebrating the seniors. For example, we plan to purchase a lawn sign and deliver it to each senior. We will also find ways at upcoming events on and off campus to recognize seniors and work with the administration and student leadership to ensure the seniors feel supported by the community.

Please help us celebrate over 800 Senior Wildcats! DVHS PTSA is a 501(c)(3) organization, and your donation may be tax-deductible as allowed by law.

sign-up for a complimentary lawn sign for your senior

Please help us recognize and celebrate your graduating seniors by helping us give them the attention they deserve! Celebrate with a Wildcats graduating senior yard sign.

The DVHS PTSA is proud to honor our graduates with a complimentary yard sign! But we can't do it without your help! We need you to signup to receive one, so we know how many to order and distribute.

We really want to make sure NO DVHS SENIOR IS LEFT OUT. Celebratory DVHS lawn signs are only available to DVHS Class of 2021 seniors.

Lawn signs will be delivered in mid to late April. We will notify you when we have them and are ready to deliver.

graduation ceremony sign-ups, Friday, June 4

Graduation will be held in two live, in-person ceremonies on Friday, June 4, in the stadium:

  • Graduation Ceremony #1 - Friday, June 4th @ 10:30 am
  • Graduation Ceremony #2 - Friday, June 4th @ 6:00pm

Seniors must use their school email account to record their graduation ceremony choice (or not attend at all) and request household tickets. Because there is a maximum of 410 graduate seats for each ceremony, when 410 seats have been chosen for a ceremony time, that ceremony will no longer be offered**.

Seniors will be given up to four (4) tickets per household to attend graduation; those tickets will be distributed to seniors when they complete senior check-out during the last week of school. Each graduate's family (ticket recipients) is expected to sit together in a designated pod. Six feet of distance and masks are required a tall time during the ceremonies. Both graduation ceremonies will be video live-streamed.

*All students must complete this form. This will be a final submission; changing graduation ceremonies and ticket numbers may not be accommodated.

**There is a limit of 410 seats per graduation ceremony. Should the limiter not work and more than 410 sign-ups occur, we will revert to timestamped responses to who signed up first for seating assignments.

senior checkout & library update

Hi Seniors!

Can you believe there are less than 10 weeks of school left??! With that being said, Senior Checkout will be coming up, which means potentially long lines to get forms signed. BUT! You can avoid long lines in the library by returning library books. We would appreciate all library books back by Friday, May 7th, so you have a clear account by the end of the school year! This also means paying any outstanding fines.

What if my teacher needs me to have the book for finals??!

That’s fine, and we get it. We can change the due date in your account. HOWEVER, you NEED to bring the book back on the day of your final. Otherwise, it will still be on your account! To extend your due date, please email one of the library staff.

Where can I find books to read between May 7th and the end of school?

Have you checked out Sora? There are thousands of free ebooks you can check out and read on any device - it can even download books to Kindle. Check out our tutorial hereWe’d never want you do not to have access to books!

How can I pay my library fines?

You can pay your fines in one of two ways: in person or on the website.

If you want to pay in person, please bring cash or a check into the library. We cannot take plastic in the library (or Venmo, Bitcoin, etc.).

If you want to pay on the webstore, please select “library fines” as the purchase and enter the amount you owe. If you do not know what you owe, please log in to your library account or email us to check.

A note about fines during COVID: We did NOT charge any late fees during COVID. If you’ve got an overdue charge since March 13th, 2020, please let us know, and we’ll delete it. We’ve tried to catch all the erroneous charges, but we’re only human. HOWEVER, if a borrowed item was lost or damaged, you will owe us for that (we’ve got to replace it, right?).

Whom do I talk to about textbooks?

If you have questions about textbooks, please email the textbook coordinator Mr. Ortiz ( The library does not handle textbooks.

Remember, you cannot complete senior checkout without having a CLEAR LIBRARY ACCOUNT.

We are so proud of you, fabulous seniors! Congratulations on a successful, albeit challenging, high school experience.
